Engagement shoots are becoming increasingly popular, with many couples using them as a warm-up to being photographed on their wedding day. There’s also the benefit of getting a range of lovely photos of you and your loved one, which a surprising amount of couples claim to not have any of prior to their engagement shoot. They’re a great way of getting comfortable in front of the camera. Not only do you get used to having a photographer following you around, but you also get a taste of what I’m like and how I work. It will also give me the chance to get to know you both, and to work out how to make you guys feel as comfortable as possible in front of a lens. Your wedding day is the happiest day of your life, and if having a warm-up photoshoot beforehand will give you the confidence to pose and smile on your big day then an engagement shoot is definitely for you. Having said that, you don’t need to be engaged to enjoy a photoshoot of you and your partner.
